Making a difference to another person’s life is one of the most rewarding things a person can do – and that’s something disability support workers do every day. Having the right attitude is critical when working with people with disabilities. It’s important to see them as valued individuals who have an abundance of capabilities, and provide encouragement to help them achieve their full potential.
Your application will be assessed by one of our Recruitment Consultants against our capability requirements and key selection criteria and shortlisted for interview.
You will be asked to discuss in more detail your knowledge and experience through a series of behavioural based questions and quizzes and you will complete a simple language, literacy and numeracy test.
You will need to supply two references, current Police Check and WWCC and agree to a DWES and Carers Register check. We will also ask for copies of your qualifications, as well as key training including Medication, First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling.
You will spend the morning on legislation, processes and relevant information a good support worker needs to know. Those who successfully pass the morning assessment will be given an employment contract to sign and after lunch you will meet representatives from each HOLISTICARE business unit.
Congratulations, you have successfully completed the HOLISTICARE recruitment process and are now ready to accept shifts. We hope that you enjoy being part of HOLISTICARE and remind you to update your availability regularly.
